Time Passages - Commemorative Yearbook
By Helen Naylor
|
"The key to unlocking the door to our future opens with a journey into the past."
Quote by Robert Burtt and Bill Main
We all seem to delight in reviewing our past, reliving special moments that can be triggered with a phrase, a song, an event. Sometimes those reminders are occasional and fleeting. While in New York at the National Stationary Show, I came across a product that is sure to please young and old alike. It is called Time Passages. It is a day-by-day commemorative yearbook in calendar form that is full of interesting tidbits of information. Robert Burtt and Bill Main and Debbie Main have gone back to the 1940’s and are up through 1999, but are in the process of researching earlier years.
My initial reaction was to choose the year of my birth, but then the suggestion came to choose the year I graduated from high school, as that would be a year that I might actually remember the events happening. But you could choose both or another momentous year in your life. But whichever you choose, you’re in for a blast to the past. Enjoy the ride!
