Border Bound - Week 1

What could be more appropriate on Independence Day than fireworks!  A border of firecrackers isn’t difficult, but will take just a little time and patience.

Cut several strips of red, white and navy the same width and length.  I choose to use red as my base, adding white and navy in assorted lengths and at different angles for interest.  If you cut some really skinny strips, you can glue them on and cut off the excess after it has dried a little.  The stars are hand cut and designed, but you could use a small star punch.  I assembled each of the firecrackers on navy cardstock, and then cut out around them.  Adhere to a vertical strip of white, mounted on navy cardstock.

Just for fun, I made the kids into giant firecrackers.  Happy Fourth of July!
