Die Cut Borders
I love die cuts! I have made special trips out of town just to spend time die cutting. I have a huge box of die cuts, all separated into little baggies, then separated by subjects (i.e., summer, Halloween, little girls). When I cut funky suns at Pebbles In My Pocket, I don’t do just 3 or 4, I do 100! I love die cuts, and with chalks, you can make so many slight changes that it doesn’t matter how often you use the same one! I also make sure that I cut several different colors so that I can have what I need, when I need them.
For the first layout, I used a horizontal border of clouds and a funky sun. Try outlining the clouds. I did the sun also, but liked it better without, so I just turned it over and gave it a face instead.
The second layout is a vertical border using assorted sizes of a primitive star. I did the pen stitching first, but they needed a little more, so I chalked the edges. Simple, but effective.
Will I ever use all my die cuts up? Probably not. Do I ever want to run out? No, not ever! Will I keep going out of town to die cut? Absolutely! For the best die cutting experiences, try Pebbles in My Pocket, any of their stores. They have them in Salt Lake City, Orem and St. George, Utah and 2 stores in the Las Vegas area. Forget gambling – spend your time and money die cutting! I
can definitely get the same kind of rush!
