Letter Borders

Big and bold letters are a good way to accentuate a page, without getting too fancy. You can decorate and do your title at the same time. The size of the letters you can use are determined by how big many letters you will need. There are dozens of templates. I have collected some by Frances Meyers, Provo Craft and Close to My Heart. I just got some new ones by gonescrapping.com, but I will review those very soon.

Sisters was done with very dark colors. Using two dark patterns by Lasting Impressions, was okay, but when I use the burgundy cardstock behind and trimmed down, it made the letters pop right up.

The red, white and blue of the patterned papers is perfect to set off my voting layout. The white helped to make the use of the three patterned papers not quite so busy, while using some traditional patterned themes. The good thing about using the small star paper is that you can use just a little border around the letters and text box and still see the stars.
