Silly String
By Helen Naylor

There are so many creative ways to design and decorate lettering and with a little help from a lettering template, you will find it easier than you think. Much like computer lettering, templates take away much of the difficulty of doing it totally from scratch. And unlike computer lettering, you can twist and turn your lettering to fit the page. You won't have the flexibility of different font sizes like the computer offers, but many lettering templates come in different sizes, so you can have some options. The lettering template that I used in Shovel, by ScrapPagerz.com, comes in 12 different styles, 5 sizes each style.

Silly String is fun and easy way to dress up your templates. Use a finer tip pen to do the squiggles after you get the basic letter done. Like unraveling a ball of string, twist and turn your squiggles to look like a ball of yarn after the cat has been playing with it!
