Scrapbooking Tip

Have the kids help with gift wrapping - get some
chunky holiday stamps, paints and some plain paper
and gift bags. You'll all enjoy the time creating
homemade bags, tags and wrap for all of your most
special gifts.

As the spirit of the holidays fills
the air I am overcome with a sense of peace. I spent
some time in November planning my December so that this
year would be less stressful than usual. With oodles of
gift wrapping already done and the tree up and
decorated, I've had some time to really reflect on what
the season means to me; making this a unique holiday
experience.
Spend some time this week doing something for yourself.
What do the holidays mean to you? What traditions do you
most want to keep in your family? Are there any that
just weigh you down? As you think about these items,
write in your journal. You'll have the makings of a
great scrapbook page!
Happy Scrapping!

Can you feel the hustle and bustle of
the holidays everywhere? It’s so exciting! I love to
give special gifts to everyone in my family and I also
love to wrap them in something more than just a plain
bag or gift wrap. I like to take a gift bag and make it
as special as the gift inside.

The clock is ticking and I’m sure you
have a few more last minute gifts to purchase. But, why
stand in long lines and deal with stressed out people
when you can use your creativity and supplies you
already have around
the house? Instead, pull out your craft supplies and
make unique gifts to finish off your shopping list.

I love circles. It’s one of my
favorite shapes: plates, clocks, cakes - you name it. In
the studio, I have a circle die that cuts four sizes and
multiple layers of heavy card stock. I use a software
program to make round multi-section photo Kaleidoscopes.
I decided to combine them to create some holiday
ornaments, cards with ornaments, a tag book and a
bookmark.
