Scrapbooking Tip
|
If the kids are out of school for the winter
holidays, solicit their help with everything from
gift wrapping, to making gift tags, to decorating
cookies and drawing holiday cards. They'll love
being included and they'll also appreciate seeing
their hard work enjoyed by others and the rest of
the family.

This week, write some of your
favorite holiday traditions in your journal whether it's
playing games, making cookies or going caroling. Take
pictures as you take part in these traditions and make
scrapbook pages for your posterity. Be sure to include
details, like rules for a game, or a recipe for
grandma's famous sugar cookies. Happy Hanukkah, Merry
Christmas and Happy Kwanzaa to all of our readers
worldwide!
Happy Scrapping!

As you look back at the year that has
so quickly passed us by, it is wonderful to see all of
the memorable times we have had with our family and to
see how much they have changed over the course of a
single year. Stephanie Ackerman did just that as
she documented 2006. She cut photos in a variety of
shapes and sizes to show her family’s year in review.

Recipe calendars are easy to make and
a fun memento. There’s no rule that January has to be
the first month or that a calendar has to be only twelve
months long, either! Assign a month to each person or
family group. Send out the recipe cards well ahead of
time, or spend time during the holidays filling them in
while everyone is together.
