Scrapbooking.com Magazine is looking for submissions from kids and teens. We would like to start a new section in the magazine but need your help. We want layouts and the stories that accompany them, created and written by clever youths. If the pages are published, they will be credited to the youth and will remain in the archives indefinitely. The kids can use this acknowledgment on resumes and college applications - they would be, after all, published artists and writers. Pretty impressive stuff for potential employers and admissions committees! I'm sure a lot of you have creative children, teach in schools or know talented teens in your community. Please pass on this information to anyone who might be interested. All aspiring young artists can contact us for more details at publisher@a-z.com.

An interesting way to label your photos is with clear self-adhesive index tabs. These tabs come in many sizes and colors and allow you to insert a cardstock label that you have written or printed on. Staples are very useful for attaching paper and embellishments of all kinds. They are also well-suited for attaching vellum or transparencies. For more office supply tips, click here.

Memory Mixer

article 1

Getting into digital scrapbooking is easy when you use straightforward programs like Memory Mixer from Lasting Impressions. I had a great time making layouts with the fun designs that come with the program. You can also start from scratch, but I’m lazy so this program is perfect for me. I just uploaded a few pictures and my layout was complete. After printing I can still add those tactile elements from my plentitude of product.

Slice and Bake

Article 2 image

"I think all of us are perfectly capable of picking patterned and solid papers that go together, same as we can pull together a skirt, blouse and sweater. But why not let someone else do the work now and then! After all, there are some top notch designers out there creating easy to use products."

Simply add photos and you're done, get the details here . . .

Wow! Embellished Canvases?

article 3

"I started by creating a digital layout with some of my favorite pictures of me and my son and then transferred it onto the canvas. To add some more interest, depth I glued jewelry cord around the entire edge of the canvas. The jewelry cord is very pliable so it was easy to manipulate into the scroll work and hearts you see."
