Paula Sealey's blog contains several great examples of how to use big and bold embellishments on layouts. There's a fine line between too much and too little and Paula knows how to do it right.

Tip of the Week Featured Product Layout Contest
tip of the week product contest

"One of the greatest assets of the internet are my friends. I've met the best scrapbooking buddies online, we now meet whenever we travel to that part of the world, we are even gathering for retreats now. If you're not sure what I mean, scrapbooking.com has a bulletin board that is for scrapbookers to help, answer questions and to develop into friendships."

I love all things Basic Grey, a company who specializes in creating cutting edge paper. Their work reflects a raw and progressive design style built to stimulate and inspire. My new favorite is the Periphery Collection Pack which includes 18 papers, one sheet of coordinating letter stickers and one sheet coordinating die-cut shapes.

Birthdays come for everyone - like it or not. Each year that passes can be commemorated through a scrapbook page. Children’s parties or quiet celebrations will make excellent topics for your next project. Submit the results here for a chance to win great prizes from top manufacturers. Click for details on how to enter.

Andy
article 1

Like most children with autism Andy is a visual learner. Words mean very little to him. We use pictures to map out his daily schedule so that he knows what to expect next. This gives him more control over his life and a better understanding of the world around him.

Beauty Project
Article 2 image

I love necklaces, in fact I love all jewelry, but necklaces are my favorite. I have at least one of every color in varying shapes and sizes. Some expensive, some cheap but all needing a better storage place than the tiny jewelry box I’ve had for years. I’ve wanted to upgrade but could never find anything that was both large enough and visually appealing. I decided I would have to take matters into my own hands.
