Blog of the Week:

"Hi, I’m Adela and I live in Southern California (yay...sunshine!). I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and loving it because I get to play at work! When I’m not running around doing errands, you can probably find me doing something creative -- instead of cleaning house!"

Welcome from the Editor

Jami picture

There's a chill in the air as Halloween approaches. I hope everyone has their costume ready and plenty of candy for tiny trick-or-treaters. Perhaps you're getting into the "spirit" by creating some treats of your own. If so, the October issue has tons of great ideas for decorating, party planning and spooky Halloween treats.

If Halloween isn't your "bag", there are also plenty of ideas for Autumn projects. Harvest time is a wonderful part of the year, see how artists across the world have documented it in their own unique scrap voice. Enjoy!

"Creative Photo ideas:
· Borders
· Titles
· Serendipity Border
· Matte your journaling or other accents on them
· Punch circles from the photo and use as the center of a metal-rimmed tag
· Slice the panoramic photo into thin strips and weave it between vellum or cardstock strips.
· Create a mosaic style page."

Amazing Glaze™ from Judikins is a clear, dimensional embossing powder that creates a glossy surface over paper and wood. Perfect for faux sealing wax effects. It can be mixed with other embossing powders for added color and special effects.

Grab your videos cameras and let’s see what you’ve got! The topic is scrapbooking, of course, and should be an easy target for some hilarious parodies. If you’re willing to laugh at yourself, we want you to participate. Write a script, a song, or opt for an impromptu in front of the camera. It’s your shtick, go out into the world and document the silly side of scrapbooking. Click here for how to enter. . .

A Conspiracy to Create

A crime of papercrafting has been committed and it is up to you to piece together the evidence and solve the conspiracy. Join in the fun! Register and visit your local participating Club Elite retailer to learn about this day full of activities, Make It & Take It projects, and demonstrations. All activities while supplies last.

This "Conspiracy to Create" is underway and it is paramount that we uncover the creativity and discover who will be present at the Crop Scene.

"To help myself with my “fall fever” I created this altered box and mini album. It’s a nice way to display some fall color in my home, and also to share memories of “real fall” with my children. Oh, I made sure to put a little bit of CA “fall” in there too. And there are blank pages in the back of the album so that I can add more fall memories, just in case we go to visit sometime."
