Anne-Marie Teo: "I’m a ‘little’ crazy about scrapbooking and photography. They go pretty well, hand-in-hand, so that’s good. I’ve been scrapping for more than 4 years now and am just recently starting to get more serious into photography. So thank you for coming by this blog and I hope that you’ll find a little inspiration on these pages."

Welcome from the Editor

Jami pictureWe are getting down to last few days of our funny video contest. Only a few people have entered so I encourage you to give it a shot if you've been considering entering. The odds are with you my friends. Check out the submissions so far by clicking here.

And I'm still taking submissions related to Autism and Alzheimer’s diseases. If you or someone you know has experienced how scrapbooking has improved the life of individuals with these diagnoses, please write to me. We are looking for heartwarming stories, layouts and albums. Please contact me to share your experiences and give hope to others.

Tip of the Week Featured Product Layout Contest
tip of the week product

"Veggie Leather is simple to use, but you will need a few tools such as an embossing heat gun, a die cut machine for cutting shapes, and strong adhesives. Simply heat for several seconds, and press the textured item into the surface. Try stamps, coarse sandpaper, balled aluminum foil, textured fabrics, and more. And, Veggie Leather is foolproof. If you make a mistake or dislike your results, reheat the surface and try again."

SCRAPBOOKS: An American History, a book by Jessica Helfand, combines pictures, words, and a wealth of personal ephemera that scrapbook makers preserve on the pages of their books for a moment, a day, or a lifetime. This lavishly illustrated book is the first to focus attention on the history of American scrapbooks—their origins, their makers, their diverse forms, the reasons for their popularity, and their place in American cultural life. Published by Yale University Press/A Winterhouse Edition.

Grab your video cameras and let’s see what you’ve got! The topic is scrapbooking, of course, and should be an easy target for some hilarious parodies. Who says scrappers are a snore? If you’re willing to laugh at yourself, we want you to participate. It’s your shtick, go out into the world and document the silly side of scrapbooking.  Click for details on how to enter.

My Love Affair with Moleskine
Article 2 image

"This summer, while trapped indoors to avoid melting in the Nashville heat, I was starting to feel completely useless. You’re all artistic souls, you know the feeling I’m talking about — like the couch is becoming a permanent appendage, and you haven’t done anything to let out all that pent-up creative energy. Well, that feeling had really started to set in right around the time that I discovered a lovely little thing called the Moleskine journal."
