"It is so important to have traditions. Traditions are beneficial in several ways. First, they give children and even teens a sense of security. They know that in an uncertain world, some things stay the same. Traditions also foster closeness in the immediate and extended family. Lasting memories are formed, and hopefully our children will continue the customs and make more of their own."

The Creative Studio Oil Pastels from Faber-Castell are a very soft oil pastel with good lightfastness and excellent color opacity, easy to blend with fingers or can be thinned with baby oil. The pastels provide smooth color lay down and good color blending characteristics for the richest oil pastel effects. The oil pastels are part of Faber-Castell's unique color matching system.

"I held onto these Pumpkin Patch photos for a long time, waiting to find some patterned papers that would do them justice. One day, I was rifling through a BasicGrey Lime Rickey paper pack, and the minute I saw the rich oranges and violet-blue, I knew this was it! It turned out to be a very fun and bright layout."

"Do you remember Frogger or Pac-Man? A time before cordless phones or even car phones? This picture is of my daughter after school checking her e-mail before she can even think of homework. I wanted to remember what her fingers looked like on her laptop. I can only imagine what my grandchildren will think of their mom typing on what will be archaic in ten plus years! This is what scrapbooking is all about, recording everyday images and moments for the future."
