Blog of the Week:

Rossella Palladino: "I have been scrapbooking for about a year. My blog is called the rainbow Ross because I love all the colors and feelings that can be transmitted. I like making different types of cards with different techniques. The embellishments are key for me. Everything must be done with the heart."

Some of my favorite articles this month include a stunning set of layouts from Gayle Martin. We also have some comedians in our midst – check out the Family History section to find a layout all about television. And the Digital Corner has some silliness you won’t want to miss. Monica McNeill inspired me with her brown bag layout in the Going Green section of the magazine. And last but not least, an amazing acrylic album makes its way onto our pages.

"Whenever July 4th comes around, I’m excited to wear our annual red, white, and blue t-shirts and celebrate Independence Day to its fullest! Scrapbook pages and other papercrafts make great gifts and memoirs for this wonderful holiday. Incorporating traditional images like stars and stripes made out of our nation’s bold colors is the perfect place to start!"

Fun In The Sun

"Digital stamps, also called masks or transparencies, are a simple and beautiful way to add interest to the focal photo of your layout. They’re especially effective when placed above photos that have lots of open areas with little detail (“white space”). "
