You don’t have to travel far to find respite from the daily grind. Summertime has a natural solution in warm sunshine and cool water. You’ll find plenty of projects dedicated to fun in sun and water this month. Caroline Hancock’s family loves to spend time in the pool, see how she scrapped these cherished moments. And playing in the blowup pool in the backyard is a favorite activity for most kids, the Water Babies article shares these happy childhood memories.

    Layout Contest

"Creating a vintage feel in your artwork can be as simple or elaborate as you wish. I enjoy browsing through used book stores, thrift shops, and rummage sales. I also alter books, and have no problem with cutting pages out of books for collage material."

The new 6-foot tall Clip it Up Floor Model comes with three 15” diameter arms that can be moved up or down to accommodate different size of products. The Floor Model can hold thousands of different items using minimal floor space. You can visually see and quickly access your whole collection of supplies, making your projects and clean-up faster, easier, and more fun!

New clothes and shoes, fresh backpacks and lunchboxes, tummies full of butterflies – it can only mean one thing. It’s back to school time! Share your grade “A” work in this month’s layout contest. The guidelines are simple. Send a layout showcasing your favorite students and teachers. Click here for more information about this month's contest.

     Sweet Summertime
article 1

"The cool breeze, the smell of the salty air, the warm sand between my toes – these are the things I dream of when I want to relax. The colors on this layout, along with the patterns and textures, mimic just such a day. The corrugated paper resembles the coarseness of the sand, the blue glitter on the letters remind me of the sparkling spray of the sea, and the use of pinking shears symbolizes the fencing used which aides in beach preservation. All of these elements put me in the mood to take a leisurely ride to the seashore for a little "R&R”!"
