Jennifer Woodward: "My blog features a combination of my favorite past times: rubberstamping and card making, sewing, gardening, cooking and my animals. Whenever possible I like to combine my varied interests into one project. Finding a connection between paper and ink, to thimbles and bobbins, to spatulas and mixing bowls, or a greeting card inspired by animals and nature is the focus of my blog."

      Welcome from the Editor

Escape may be as easy as finding joy in the simple things, like family and friends. This is easier when we have a good excuse to get together. Celebrating our American heritage is as easy as pie, whether you do it in the backyard with sparklers or at the water’s edge watching fireworks, commemorate these times by dedicating a layout or two. Americana inspiration is here, find out what other artists are doing by clicking here. And don’t miss Michael Strong’s tutorial on making star-themed cards and card holder.

"These pictures were taken in May of 2008, when we had gotten an extraordinarily warm weekend for the springtime. My sons, Thomas and Stefan, enjoyed the opportunity to play outside without thick winter jackets and overalls. Well, who wouldn't? I tried to capture the boys’ playfulness in the layout."
