We Remember September 11.

Last year we made the decision to cancel our newsletter, a contest and another project.  Nothing seemed more important than what were were going through as a country.  We received many notes from you letting us know how you felt.  We thought you might like to read a few of them.

These are in response to the following note we sent:
We are all saddened and outraged by the attack on America Tuesday, and extend our deepest sympathies and prayers to all the people affected. In light of this there will not be a Scrapbooking.com Memory Gram this week.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and families affected by these tragic events. We would like to thank the courageous men and women working around the clock that are involved in rescue efforts and those people responsible for keeping the American public safe.

For information on how you can help, please contact your local Red Cross centers either through their web site at http://www.redcross.org or through their toll-free number, 1-800-HELP-NOW.

Best wishes,

The Scrapbooking.com Staff

Eileen L., Birmingham, Alabama. wrote:  As a reader of your e-mails, i truly appreciated your thoughts about the NY tragedy. Most of my family is there, and I am truly blessed that none of them were physically injured, but like the rest of the nation, we all will be emotionally scarred for a long time to come, but not morally broken. Thanks again for your words, and I look forward to much better e-mails from you in the future. God Bless our Country.

Elena C. tells us:  Believe it or not, we are going to do a "Giving Blood" page for our scrapbook--when you are so far away from a tragedy, it is sometimes hard for people to understand that they too can make a difference. We plan on posting this at our upcoming board meeting. Thank-you for observing this sad day. A Proud American

No matter how much I enjoy the Scrapbooking Memory Gram, GOOD FOR YOU!!! For postponing it! KD Gillooly
The Dell Home Systems Team:  In the wake of Tuesday's tragic terrorist attacks, our hearts go out to those people and their families who have been affected. As we struggle to comprehend the magnitude of this senseless terror, it will be important for all of us to rely on each other for support and comfort.

We recognize the difficulty in maintaining daily routines in the face of such unprecedented horror. We also recognize that many of our affiliates and our affiliates' families and friends were in the vicinity of the terrorist attacks, and we will make every effort to support those in need.

As we continue to grieve for the victims and families affected by Tuesday's devastating assault, our country has begun the task of responding, rebuilding and moving forward. We will continue to assess our customers' needs, as well as how we can provide further support to the disaster relief efforts.  Thank you for your continued commitment to those in need of comfort and support during this difficult situation.
Sue Y" ... a nice gesture on your part. Once again " Scrapbooking.com is such a great part of my life."

United Airlines wrote this to us: "The past few days have been a very difficult time for all of us.  We hold in our hearts the passengers and crews of the aircraft involved in this unfortunate event. We mourn for the thousands who suffered in the buildings and on the ground. And we applaud the dedicated men and women who are helping with the rescue effort - and providing comfort and solace for the families and friends of the victims.

United Airlines is working closely with government agencies to ensure safe and reliable travel, now and into the future. Your patience and cooperation are appreciated during this time.

All of us at United thank you for your understanding in the difficult days and months ahead.

Your mention of the American Red Cross web site and telephone number will be seen by hundreds that might not have known about this avenue in which to make a donation  Thank you!"
