We have received many requests regarding Paige Eliason's Oragami Fold Out Technique as it appeared in the June Issue. Complete Step-By-Step Instructions accompany her fabulous new layout. Check it out and give it a try!

Layout Supply List:
  • Patterned Paper (Yellow Polka Dots, Kathy Davis, Colorbok)
  • Template (Better Banners, Deja Views)

Step 1: Begin with a square. The square should be double the size you wish to have as your fold out when it is closed. For example, if you wish to have a 4 inch square on your page (when closed), you will need to cut an 8 inch by 8 inch square.
Step 2: Fold the square in half. Note: Fold the wrong or back sides together.
Step 3: It should look like this.
Step 4: Fold the square in half the other way.
Step 5: It should look like this.
Step 6: Fold your square at a diagonal as shown. Note: Only fold one diagonal.
Step 7: It should look like this.
Step 8: Bring lines 1 and 2 of the diagonal fold together.
Step 9: Once folded, the Oragami Fold Out should look like this.
Step 10: On the wrong side or inside of the fold out, adhere photos and journal.
Step 11: Adhere the Oragami Fold Out to your layout in the desired postion. At the point where the square folds out, place a self adhesive photo corner to hold the Oragami Fold Out closed when not in use.
