Welcome to the Scrapbooking.com garden. As any great gardener knows, half the fun of gardening comes during the fall and winter months, when we get comfortable with a stack of gardening magazines, books, and catalogs and do what we fondly call "armchair gardening". It's here that we sometimes get our best ideas - adding a new water feature, designing a rose garden, or planning that perfect potting shed.

Some of us live in apartments where our garden is a row of pots on a balcony or a tomato plant in the kitchen window. Then, there are those blessed few who have gardens maintained by gardeners and expansive gardens to stroll through, on warm summer evenings. Either way many of us have one thing in general, and that is the love of flowers and watching vegetables grow.

Some would argue that if you have a gardener you miss the rejuvenation that happens when you are up to your elbows in dirt, mud and fertilizer. I have done some of my best thinking when I have had dirt on my jeans and mud on my elbows. Life seems to be getting more stressful for me as I am getting older. Perhaps that is where the wiser comes from, knowing the difference between having to weed the garden as a child, and getting to spend some time weeding my Garden as an adult. Maybe instead of feeling exhausted, it is time to go out and get my hands dirty again.

I look at my work day and at my deadlines and I know that even though I am busier than I ever was with my seven children at home, that I am fortunate enough to have a garden of layouts around me at all times. I receive layouts from readers all over the world and from our wonderful design team. We have put together some gardening layouts for you to stroll through. Take a few minutes to stop and smell our roses that bloom with creative ideas.
