Last week I stopped into a wonderful cooking supply store. They were having a class that night called "Chocolate Haven". For the first time in nine years (that's when I started scrapbooking) I decided on a whim to sign up and attend the class. I was so surprised, all the things there were to know about chocolate. I realized there was a whole other world out there called the culinary arts.

I have about 8 dinners I cook over and over again, when I do cook, which isnšt very often. Then it occurred to me that's what has happened to scrapbooking. It has changed from a fun hobby to an art form. Families all over the world are making pages for each other instead of exchanging cards. We're taking the time to plan pages we want to do and stories we want to tell.

One time a friend of mine asked me what I liked best about Scrapbooking? For me the number one thing I love most is that once you start scrapbooking you never leave your camera home again. You always have film capturing the moment that becomes so important. You make sure you're always ready. Before scrapbooking I would be some where with my little ones and I would realize I didn't have my camera and my chance would be lost. That doesn't happen now (I'm sure my kids sometimes wish it would. They may complain but they love all the pictures.)

Like anything else in life that which you continue to do you become better at. Even my photos have improved. Scrapbooking my photos has become a pure pleasure. Regardless of you artistic ability with all the wonderful idea books and products available we can all be artists.
