1. Choose your patterned paper.
2. Trace the cover template on the back of your pattern paper. (Templates and accessories can be purchased at www.theminiscrapbook.com)
3. Cut out along the traced lines, including the notches on the top and bottom.
4. Glue (Glue Stick works best) the chipboard to each side of the cover.
5. Fold down the top flap and glue to the chipboard. It is important to fold the whole flap at once. If you fold half and half then the middle of the book may rip. The rip will show in the finished book.
6. Fold down the bottom flap and glue to the chipboard.
7. Fold down and glue both sides of the cover.
8. Cut 2 pieces of ribbon about 7 inches long. These will be used to tie your book shut.
9. Glue (I used photo splits) the ribbons onto the chipboard, half of the ribbon will be hanging off the book
10. The insert pages can either be pre-bought already done for you (My favorite way!), or you can cut your own. Along with the cover template you also will get a page template. Trace and cut 5-6 pages. I like to alternate colors that match the cover of the book. For this book and this pattern paper, I would choose red and green.
11. Fold each of these pages in half.
12. Glue pages together (alternating colors is your using more than one color). The pages form an accordion, with the folds all together.
13. Glue one of the pages on the right side of the book, lining up so that there is the same amount of pattern paper showing on all three sides. The folds should be in the middle.
14. Add glue to the other half, and close the book. Everything should align correctly. 
15. Tear a red square about 4" by 3 ½".
16. Put four eyelets in the red square, one in each corner.
17. Apply Felt tree stickers.
18. Glue the red square to the front of the Mini Scrapbook cover. 
19. Tie the ribbon, closing the book.
