1. Cut a 6" by 7 ½" square out of Ivory paper. 2. Peel up the Santa sticker and adhere to the middle of the ivory square. 3. Peel up the girl with the wish list sticker and place to the right of the Santa. The wish list may touch the Santa chair some. Her feet are a little bit lower then the chair. 4. Peel up the toy bag and adhere it to a scrap of Ivory paper. The toy bag is going to go on top of the pattered paper, not under it like the Santa is. Cut out the toy bag, some ivory paper may show and that is ok. 5. Cut out 3 squares out of deep red cardstock. One is 4" by 4". One is 4 ½ by 4 ½". The last one is for the title and it is 6" by 5 ½". 6. Cut out 2 squares out of the patterned paper. These squares are just a ¼" bigger than the 2 squares made in Step 5. 7. Mount the 2 smallest red squares to the 2 pattern paper squares. 8. To make the photo boxes into presents, peel up the ribbon from the Sticky Die cut page and cut it in half. I also cut the white border off the sticker. 9. At this point you want to add you pictures to the squares we've made. The ribbons and bows that we will be applying next go over your photo. 10. Put one of the ribbons that you cut in half at the top of the present and the other at the bottom. 11. Do this to both presents. Remember the presents are the two smaller squares. The larger square is for the title. 12. I cut two bows out two present on the Sticky Die Cut sheet. Pick any two bows that you like best. It is easier to cut a sticker on the sheet is comes on, rather than pulling up and cutting it. 13. Adhere the bows to the top ribbon. 14. For the Title, I printed out "Please bring me a bike and a doll for my sister. Love Nick" with DJ Inkers Crayon font on vellum. Any child like font will due. I printed it in the middle of the page to allow room for the sticker "Dear Santa". 15. Peel up the sticker Dear Santa and adhere it to your vellum above whatever you typed. It should be more to the right to allow room for the big bow sticker that we will apply in step 18. 16. Cut the vellum to 5" by 4 ½". 17. Place the vellum in the center of the large red square (that we cut earlier) 18. Instead of applying glue or tape to the back of the vellum (where it will be seen) peel up the sticky die cut with the large bow and stick it down over the vellum and cardstock. This will hold down the vellum. 19. Put the ribbon strip on the bottom of the title square. 20. Tear a hole in the bottom left hand corner of your 12x12 Pattern paper. If you have never torn pattern paper before, if you pull the paper towards you, you will get a nice white tear effect that we will chalk in the next step. The pattern paper I used is hard to see on the scan. It is a Provo Craft tan check like paper. I cut an x to get a starting point. It is better to tear too little then too much. I put the Santa scene that we built underneath the torn 12x12 pattern to see if I had torn enough. I kept doing this until the hole was big enough. You cannot see the whole image from my torn box. Tear a bigger square if seeing the whole image is important to you. 21. Chalk the tear where it is white, red. 22. Glue the Santa scene behind the torn pattern paper. 23. Adhere the toy bag to the top of the pattern paper to the left of the scene. A pop dot on the back of the toy bag would be great. 24. Glue the two presents to the pattern paper. One at the top left and one at the bottom right. 25. Glue the Title on the top right. |
