I have also investigated other graphics programs and here is what I have found.

Print Shop will not allow you to change to a 12" X 12" size.

Kodak Photo Imaging will not allow you to have 2 halves of a scan on the desktop at once so there is no way to use this program for stitching.

Serif Draw Plus will let you import the two halves if they are scanned and saved as different files. Then you can manipulate them into one picture, but it will not be a smooth "stitch". I also had trouble with the resolution. The resulting image was not usable.

MS Paint has the option to import an image from camera or scanner. That option was not active on my copy. If someone out there is using MS Paint to stitch for a 12" X 12" picture, please write and tell us.

MGI Photo Suite II directs you to create a collage out of several photos or sections of photos. If you go to HELP and look for COLLAGE in the index it gives step-by-step instructions. I tried it but was really not able to bring the two parts of a scan together to my satisfaction. I know others who use this feature for their 12" X 12" scans with success. If this is your software, and you follow the directions it may just take a little practice.

Microsoft Picture*It Photo Publisher has a movie that will guide you through the Creating a Composite feature. Just look under HELP for "Collage". It works similar to MGI PhotoSuite.
