This article contains projects for all levels of paper crafters.

Thanksgiving is a great time of year to drop a note to someone special, near or far, and let him or her know how much you appreciate him or her throughout the year. Here are some easy cards, as well as a couple of more intricate designs you can use to let friends and family know you’re thinking of them as you sit down to your holiday feast.

This first card is easy, but special, utilizing alphabet charms and spelling out your state of mind. Remember when you’re crimping paper that the process will shorten your paper strip, so always cut it longer than you need. You can trim the strip to fit later.

A distressed card, brightened up with shimmery chalks has a lot of texture and a lot of interesting elements to see.

This card is fabulous, with its bright autumn colors. It’s also incredibly quick and takes little-to-no time to finish, allowing you to make many cards for your numerous friends!

When coloring autumn leaves, a blender pencil helps make the colors look more realistic and blends the edges of the various colors. I basically scribbled a little of each color (deep red, light green, mustard yellow and brown) on each leaf and let the blender pencil do all of the work.

Happy Thanksgiving to you!
