When a family gets together, something magical happens . . . smiles brighten faces, laughter abounds, and memories are created. This time of year when the weather is warm and families gather, you will want to capture every moment in a scrapbook layout. Use your die cut machine to incorporate fun journaling and spring flowers into a family memento.

Ellison design presents this family layout to give you an idea of how to gather your family moments this spring into a scrapbook for everyone to enjoy. The title, “It’s a Girl Thing,” is made with Twang Thin Cut Alphabet Dies. There are two types of die cut flowers used. The larger flower is cut from fabric with Daisy Thick Cut Dies. The second smaller flower is cut from faux leather with Daisy #2 Original Dies from Sizzix. Three-dimensional word stickers form the centers of the flowers. Tip: Mixing textures with die cuts can add dimension, interest, and style to your layouts.

One family photo of a mother and her two girls is matted and attached to the page. For the final touch, a vellum quote is added. The quote states, “Family faces are magic mirrors. Looking at people who belong to us, we see the past, present, and future.”

Enjoy your family this spring and capture every priceless moment with photos and scrapbooks. Be inspired by the blessings around you and let the magic of family keep you scrapping.
