A spring wedding can be described in one word: beautiful. If you are planning a wedding this spring or in the coming months, you may be looking for favor ideas to complement your elegant style. Anna Griffin has once again answered your call with her new Wedding Template Set from Plaid All Night Media. Follow along as we show you step-by-step how to make a Cone Favor using the new template set.

The Wedding Template Set includes seven mylar templates each printed with simple instructions. Each set comes with a variety of sizes and styles including:

• Gift Bag
• Cone Favor
• Large Gift Box with Gift Card and Envelope
• Small Gift Box
• Pillow Box
• CD Cover
• Place Cards and Table Card

The first step is to choose a patterned paper to coordinate with the decorations or invitations of your special event. Anna Griffin has also created special Wedding Paper Packs to help you coordinate your color and style. Here, the Cone Favor is made with a floral paper from her new Wedding Palette 1 Set. After choosing your paper, lay the template on top of the paper with the pattern facing you and lightly trace where indicated on the template. The template is clearly marked to show you where to score and fold. Tip: Protect your cutting area by using a self-healing or glass mat whenever cutting or scoring.

Next, use a stylus or a craft knife to cut the marked areas designated on the template.

After scoring, you will have a rounded square shape that will be folded into the favor. On the rounded-edge part of the paper, punch two holes where previously marked with the template.

Fold the template around the rounded edge and string ribbon through the holes. Tie a small knot in the ribbon on the back side of the favor to create a handle.

Run a strip of adhesive along both straight edges of the template. Lightly roll the paper from one corner to the other, insuring the paper is secure with the adhesive. This creates the cone shape.

Fold the top of the favor to close. You can add chocolates, mints, or other delicacies for your guests to enjoy before closing.

You can also personalize the favor with a decoratively cut tag. Here, two scalloped circles (one slightly smaller than the other) are attached to each other and the favor with foam squares to add dimension. The smaller circle is stamped with initials for a more personal touch.

Making these Cone Favors is simple and quick with the Wedding Template Set. Favors are fun additions to any event whether it’s a birthday, wedding, anniversary, graduation, or a family gathering. Try these templates for your next event and make it a day to remember.
