For a cute baby announcement idea using vellum, take a look at this card from Glue Dots International. The base of the card is white cardstock torn across the bottom. Next, a piece of pink cardstock that is smaller than the front of the card is torn on the top and bottom and attached with Memory Book Glue Dots. The next layer is dark pink vellum that has also been torn on both sides. The vellum is attached with Vellum Glue Dots so there are no traces of messy adhesive. A vellum phrase strip is also attached with the Vellum Glue Dots under the photo and stamped feet. One last strip of vellum is attached horizontally over the stamp. All of the vellum techniques used to make this card are simplified with the use of Vellum Glue Dots so making multiple cards would be quick and easy.
This colorful layout from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L has lots of personality. The subtle print of the background patterned paper sets the tone for the colored vellum and embellishments. The large circles and semi-circles are cut from various colored vellum and attached with E-Z Vellum Adhesive. You can see here too that there are no traces of adhesive with the E-Z Vellum. Sticker phrases and bubbles are added around the layout with a center focal point made from natural craft paper and a single photo.
So, have you given these new vellum adhesives a try yet? Get out there and do it, you’ll be amazed at the results.
