On each of the 4 1/4” x 8” pieces of chipboard draw a 1” line from all four sides. Measure in 3 ½” from each of the short sides and draw a line. You will end up with two 2 ¼” x 2 ½” blocks surrounded by a 1” border. Cut out the 2 ¼” x 2 ½” blocks.
Overlap a 1” section of each piece of chipboard and glue them together to form one long strip with four windows in it. Cover the chipboard frame with decorative scrapbook paper.
Resize photos to 2 ¼” x 2 ½” and print them on the sheet of translucent vellum. Cut the photos apart leaving a border around each one. Center a photo in each opening and secure to the back with red line tape.
Cut a 1” hole in the center of one of the 4 ½” circle of foam board. Wrap the photo strip around the foam board circle with the center hole, gluing it in place at the bottom edge of the photos. Glue the overlapping ends together. Secure with a rubber band until the glue has dried.
Glue the remaining 4 ½” circle of foam board into the top of the lamp. Tip: To keep it even with the top edge, turn the lamp over and use a pencil to reach inside and press it down.
Cut a circle of decorative scrapbook paper that is slightly larger than the 5” circle of chipboard. Glue it to the chipboard circle. Clip the edges, then fold them to the back and glue in place. Glue the covered chipboard circle to the top of the lamp.
Cover the 3” circle of foam board with decorative scrapbook paper. Glue the covered circle to the center of the lap top. Add decorative trims as desired.
Stain assorted wooden beads by wiping alcohol ink on them with a sponge. Glue beads together to form “feet” and a finial for the lamp. Glue the legs and finial in place. Assemble the cord set and light bulb and insert into the bottom of the lamp.
