Chia Wald created this Friendship Card to celebrate a close friend. The card’s finished size is 4 ¼” x 5 ½” and can be decorated with whatever color combinations you choose. Chia chose an assortment of Permapaque markers for her card.
Supplies:
8 ½” x 5 ½” light green cardstock
2 ½” x 3” medium green cardstock
2 ¼” x 2 ¾” parchment colored cardstock
Glue (Art Institute Designers Dries Clear)
VersaMark Watermark ink pad
2”x 5 ½” piece of heat tolerant acetate (such as overhead transparency film)
Graphite Black ink pad for non-porous surfaces (Brilliance by Tsukineko)

Hole punch
Fold the light green cardstock in half. Stamp fern leaves on the front in a random pattern using watermark ink.
Using black ink, stamp your flower image onto the acetate. Heat set the ink with a heat tool to prevent smudging. Color the image with opaque pigment markers.
Use an opaque pigment marker to color the brads green.
Punch holes through the acetate and card front and attach with the brads.
Use the black ink to stamp a saying on the parchment cardstock. Lastly, glue the medium green cardstock to the card front at an angle then attach the parchment cardstock on top.
In honor of the numerous commencements this time of year, Chris Herrmann created this project, which can be made into a graduation card or bookmark.

2 white #8 shipping tags 6 1/4" x 3 1/8" (American Tag)

Distress Ink Pad (Pine Needles)

Start by cutting off 3 ¾” from end of one tag to be used as a pocket. Rub sponge across Pine Needles Pad to pick up ink. Apply ink to both sides of whole tag and one side of cut tag.
Spray inked tags with fine mist of water. You will see a mottled look appear as water dries on tag. When dry, outline tag and pocket with marker. Attach pocket to one side of tag, gluing just very edges of 3 sides.
Cut at least six 12" pieces of fiber and color 3 with the Permapaque Markers and leaving 3 uncolored. When dry, loop all 6 pieces through opening in tag.
Attach stickers to both sides of tag. Tear quote and brush just edges of with inked sponge. Attach to pocket side of tag with Vellum Adhesive. Fill the pocket with a letter, check or cash to congratulate your grad.
