Ho-Ho-Ho, it’s Christmas in July! Summer is the perfect time to start those holiday projects that always seem to sneak up on us. Here are a few stamp ideas to get you going on planning for holiday parties and completing that never ending holiday card list. Stay ahead of the holiday madness and get started now. Come December, you’ll be glad you did!

Start your holiday party planning by making personalized place cards for all of your holiday guests. A pre-made tag is used for the base of the place cards making it easy to create as many as you need. To create the image, a stamp is decorated with Christmas Red, Golden Rod and Copper Stickles from Ranger Industries. Personalize each tag by adding your guest’s name and a colorful ribbon. These can also be used as a bookmark or gift tag. Not sure who you will be making one for? Make several now and add the names when your list is complete.

Another holiday party preparation you can make ahead of time is decorative napkin rings. Use the same Trees stamp as used for the place cards to add on to the party theme. The basic design is made from a pre-made tag and edged with decorative scissors. Punch holes in the back and tying a cord or ribbon to create a ring closure. A bit of glue can also be added for more security. This final step can be done right before the party so the rings can be stored flat until you are ready to use them.

Many of us struggle with finding time to complete our holiday card list so beginning now may be just what we need to do. This holiday card also uses the Trees stamp from the previous projects along with a Happiest of Holidays stamp. If you know you will be making numerous cards, create an assembly line process to get them completed efficiently with as little stress as possible. Start with the piece of cardstock with the stamped image and decorate with paint. As these are drying, choose your other cardstock colors and tear them to size. Spread each layer out in separate stacks and begin your assembly line. If you find yourself getting bored, change the paper or paint color for a variation.

Here’s another holiday card idea that’s easy to make. Remember, you can use whatever stamp or cardstock and paint colors to match your theme and style.
