Supplies:
- 1 sheet of pink cardstock (12 x 12)
- Assorted pieces of scrapbook paper and cardstock
- 2 pieces chipboard or book board (6 x 5)
- ribbon
- stickers
- ruler
- stylus
- pencil
- scissors
- hole punch
- corner rounding punch
- stapler
- glue
- 2 paper fasteners
- gel pen
Cut a sheet of cardstock into two pieces, 6 x 12 each. Measure and score lines to divide each piece into 3 sections measuring 5, 5 and 2 wide. Glue one 2 section to the 5 section of the second piece to make one long strip and accordion fold on the scored lines leaving the remaining 2 section on the right end.
PAGE ONE: Cover the first 5 section with a 6 x 5 piece of stripped paper. Glue on a 5 x 4 polka dot paper at an angle. Glue a 4 ½ x 3 ½ piece of orange paper onto the polka dot layer. Add flower stickers.
PAGE TWO: Create a pocket by gluing a 6 x 3 ½ piece of yellow cardstock to the inside edge of the page leaving the outside edge un-attached. Make three tags by trimming the upper corners from 4 x 2 pieces of green cardstock. Punch a hole, tie on ribbons and add stickers. Embellish the pocket with a 6 x 3 strip of paper and stickers. Put tags into pocket.
PAGE THREE: Create a pocket by trimming the lower corners from a 4 x 4 piece of pink cardstock. Draw stitch lines with a gel pen, punch holes in upper corners and insert paper fasteners. Make a tab from a 4 x 3 piece of green cardstock layered with a 3 x 2 piece of purple cardstock, staple ribbons to the top edge. Layer a 5 x 5 piece of patterned paper onto the page and glue the pocket over it. Insert tag into pocket and add a flower sticker.
PAGE FOUR: Glue a 6 x 5 piece of floral paper to the page. Fold the 2 flap over and glue down to form a pocket. Cut three 3 x 1 ½ pieces of green cardstock and round corners on one end to make tabs. Glue onto pocket and add flower stickers. Glue a 5 Ό x 2 ½ piece of orange paper onto the floral layer.
COVERS: Cover chipboard with floral paper. For front cover attach a 2 Ό x 5 piece of stripped paper onto lower edge of cover. Add ribbon and stickers. Glue to back of page one. Glue back cover to back of page four.
Your completed accordion book can be decorated with any paper or theme that fits your creativity. Like I said, I love spring and hope you enjoy creating these fun and easy to make albums!
