My daughter is constantly asking to invade my sticker stash. Some stickers I just can’t bear to part with so I made a sticker section just for her. It’s filled with clearance sale finds, dollar store goodies, and leftover pieces from my projects. She loves to dig through her section and find what surprises I have left for her. Knowing how much she loves my stickers, it hit me that I have yet to meet a kid who didn’t like stickers. So, we’re sharing a few cute sticker book ideas for kids only.

Ready…Set…Write

Beginner Project

by Judith Mara for Boxer Scrapbook Productions

Judith Mara from Boxer Scrapbook Productions made this altered composition book for her son to encourage him to practice his writing over summer vacation. By using the same style of letter stickers in two different sizes, she created a cohesive title for the project. If cars don’t fit your child’s fancy, try patterned paper with bugs, flowers, zoo animals, hearts, stars, and more.

Can any little girl you know resist a personalized story book? Created by Chris Herrmann, this magical Pretty Princess Storybook has a mirror on the last page with cut outs in each page so your little girl can see herself throughout the book. Here are step-by-step instructions to show you how to make your own storybook.

Supplies:
• Two 6”x 6” Chipboard Covers With Holes (Junkitz)
• 12” x 12” Scrapbook Papers: Bubble Gum Swirl, Lemon Drops, Sweet Posies, and Flower Tarts from The Shabby Princess Line (Bo Bunny Press)
• Assorted Cardstock Stickers (Bo Bunny Press)
• Scraps of Black Glossy Cardstock (Ranger Industries)
• 2 sheets White Glossy Cardstock (Ranger Industries)
• Glue (Art Institute)
• One 2” Round Mirror
• Assorted Gem Stickers (Making Memories)
• Assorted Peel and Stick Rhinestone Designs (me & my BiG Ideas)
• Disco Ball Bedazzles (Suze Weinberg)
• Pink Wonder Tape (Suze Weinberg)
• White Sheer Ribbon
• 1 Yellow Button
• Paper Cutter
• Hole Punch
• 1 Star Brad

Cut Bubble Gum Swirl scrapbook paper in quarters and attach to chipboard covers on both sides with Wonder Tape. Cut white cardstock and assorted papers just a bit smaller to fit inside covers without sticking out. Glue papers to both sides of white cardstock.

Mark and punch 3 holes in all pages.

Glue mirror to back cover and according to placement cut holes in all pages so hole matches up with mirror.

Attach rhinestone flower to inside of front cover, again lining up to match hole in pages. Attach assorted cardstock stickers to black glossy cardstock and cut to form a thin frame around sticker.

Decorate pages, adding embellishment to stickers as desired.

Attach assorted stickers to front of book. Add embellishments where desired.

Cut pink and white ribbon to desired lengths and insert through holes. Tie ribbons, leaving enough space to open and close book easily.

Our last book idea, designed by Chia Wald, will encourage preschoolers to learn in a fun way. It’s a Counting Book filled with simple sticker shapes that will get kids counting 1 to 10 in no time. It’s portable enough to fit in purses or to keep in the car for those long line emergencies.

Supplies:
• Heavy chipboard
• Cardstock
• Scrapbook paper (Die Cuts With A View)
• Designer Dries Clear Glue (Art Institute)
• Ribbon
• Stickers: Die Cuts With A View (letters, cars), Paper Loft (numbers), Sandylion (leaves, apples, flower), Mrs. Grossman (frogs, fish), Karen Foster Design (Flags, stars)
• Hole punch
• Paper Punches (McGill)
• Ribbon (Michael’s Arts & Crafts)

First, cut the chipboard to your desired size. Chia used six pieces of 5 ˝” x 4 ˝” for this book.

Cover the chipboard in paper or cardstock and decorate with stickers and paper. Leave a space near one edge for binding.

To bind the pages, punch two holes along one edge. For this book I placed the holes ˝” down from the top and 1” in from the sides. Tie a decorative ribbon through the holes, leaving it loose enough to turn the pages.
