I’m planning the Halloween party for my daughter’s third grade class this year and I wanted to have a craft that was different but allowed the children to add their own creativity. When I saw this wall hanging, I knew it was the perfect craft for the class. The base is plain chipboard die cut plaques covered with die cut patterned paper. Die cut letters spell out “BOO”, stickers add themed accents and black tulle ties it all together.
I’m making a bag for each child that has everything they need to assemble the wall hanging. Each bag will have an assortment of stickers so the children can decorate their project however they choose. My daughter is excited about it so I know it will be a hit!

Instead of in the classroom, you may be planning a Halloween party at your house this year. Here’s a creative invitation idea that’s simple to make. There are various ways to make the Witch’s Hat.
• If you have a witch hat die cut, fold a piece of black cardstock and run it through the die cut machine. The party information can be tucked between the hats by adhering the tips of the hat together one inch inward, then scoring the top piece for the card opening.
• Make a very untraditional card by cutting two hats from black cardstock. Attach both pieces together across the rim. Score the card at the top of the rim for the card opening. The card will open from the top down as opposed to from the bottom or side as traditional cards do. Insert party information on inside of card.
• Cut one hat out of black cardstock, measure the widest part of the triangle (not the rim) and determine what size you want the middle card piece to be. Attach the orange cardstock, stickers and cat die cut to a piece of white or black cardstock cut to fit the hat. Score this piece directly under the top polka dot border sticker to make the card opening. Attach information inside flap.
Halloween celebrations are always fun but sometimes it’s tough to come up with new ideas. I hope you enjoy these, I know I will!
