Scrapbooking is all about memories. If you celebrate Halloween like we do at my house, then it’s a huge celebration. The kids dress up and invite friends over for a serious Halloween party. We decorate the house with spider webs, dry ice smoke, skeletons, and jars of eyeballs, tongues, guts, toes and more.

We are always so excited to snap tons of photos and dive right into our scrapbook layouts as soon as the party is over. We’ve started a tradition in our house where the weekend after Halloween we scrapbook our photos. The party night is so busy we don’t have time to stop and write down what everyone said and talk about the great costumes we saw, but we don’t want these memories to disappear. That’s why we have an after-Halloween crop. We pull out our Halloween supplies, print out our photos, and get scrapping! The whole family gets involved and makes our Halloween even more special.

We look at it this way; there will never be another year quite like this one so we take advantage of every moment. With the holidays following so close to Halloween we know that if we wait too long, we’ll get busy and that means some of our memories will be lost. Plan an after-holiday crop throughout the year and you’ll always stay on top of your holiday scrapbooks!
