There’s no doubt about it, kids inspire many of our scrapbook projects. The photos are just so darn cute, who can resist using one or a bunch of them in a layout. Coupled with cute embellishments, you can’t go wrong when making adorable layouts. Here are some simple ideas and tips that, if you’re like most of us kid-lovers, you’ll absolutely love!

Toddler

Beginner Project

Tip #1: Crop and enlarge a digital photo to focus on the subject. Setting the subject to one side adds an interesting affect and lets you control the focus of the photo. Using one large photo makes for a simple layout base. The only other elements needed are background paper and embellishments. Keep it simple and your photo’s focus will stay clear and beautiful.

Tip #2: Add color to plain cardstock and create instant embellishments by cutting shapes from patterned paper and adhering it to the layout. Further embellish the shapes with rhinestones, chipboard, and brads. Use this simple technique and get more out of your favorite papers.

A Good Year

Intermediate Project

Tip #3: Use all the photos you want in one layout. There’s no rule that says you can only use one or two and this layout is the perfect example. From day one this little cutie’s life was documented month by month and displayed in a layout for all to enjoy. With just some pretty paper and a couple of embellishments, we can see that is really was a good year!

Tip #4: Have fun and enjoy these cute treasures while their young!
