For me, Easter is all about the children - all the excitement of the Easter bunny, hunting for eggs, and of course the chocolate/candy. Traditionally the dying of real eggs is done by children, and this pastime is still alive and well in many countries today. Although, the dyed eggs are often substituted for chocolate eggs, or plastic eggs filled with jelly beans or other candy. The excitement of the eggs though isn't in the receiving or giving, it's in the finding! Usually the eggs are hidden in the garden by the 'Easter Bunny' for children to find. The excitement on children's faces as they traipse through the garden looking for eggs is only surpassed by the delight in finding the brightly colored eggs to place in their Easter baskets!

Like most holidays Easter is most actively celebrated by children, but that's no reason that adults shouldn't celebrate it too! Greeting cards for Easter are readily available to purchase, but I personally believe they mean so much more when made by hand. From a simple "Easter Greetings", to a "Hoppy Easter" sentiment paired with a bunny, or "Hope you're Easter is EGGstra special!' wording paired with Egg images on a card, there are many options available to show people you celebrate this holiday. For colors, really anything goes! Think spring, with pinks and oranges set against green. Pops of bright and fun colors that really say Easter is here, and it’s going to be fun!

Home decor is another area where adults can really shine with their Easter celebrations. One quick and easy way to show your celebrating any holiday is to decorate the entry to your home. From wooden cut outs of chicks and rabbits, to signs that say "Easter bunny this way" decorate the entry to your home to show you're celebrating Easter in style!
I am of the opinion that regardless of what we as a family celebrate, I'm compassionate and understanding of other people’s religions and beliefs. As such if I know someone is Jewish I'll send them greeting cards that fit their Jewish holidays. This time of year also heralds the Jewish Celebration of Passover. Many scrapbooking manufacturers are releasing lines celebrating other religious holidays, so finding supplies to make layouts or cards for Passover is easy nowadays! Colors for Passover reflect the traditional Matzo bread eaten during this holiday and are browns and earthy wheat colors. Each season remember your friends celebrating their own religious holidays and send them a card to let them know you're thinking of them this Passover.
