Scrapbooking pets is basically the same as scrapbooking your other family layouts, and there are so many options when it comes to supplies! As an avid dog scrapbook supply collector I can tell you that many scrapbook manufacturers are taking note and releasing product lines specifically tailored for each species of pet! Whether it’s dogs or cats, from as big as a horse to small rodents or fish, you name your pet and there is probably a scrapbook paper to fit!
Our little monkey
Pet layouts can be as varied as people layouts, whether you are scrapbooking an event (dog shows, birthdays, etc.) or moments (character traits, expressions) it’s important to document each moment. Just like kids, puppies grow up! And all too soon! Before you know it that 5 pound puppy has turned into a 55 pound dog!

Cat Treat Jar
As well as layouts, think about mini books, altered items and gifts. If you’re like me you know a lot of other people who are crazy about their pets. I find they love handmade gifts tailored to their obsessions. Altered items and gifts are also a great way of giving food, treats and other items for pet sitters. It saves any confusion over what is the pet’s food and what isn’t! Plus what better way to make ordinary store bought dog cookies into something that little bit special!

So next time you’re feeding Tiddles, or walking Fido, think about your pet and document that special bond you have. After all, pets unfortunately aren’t able to stay with us forever, so we need to document those photos, record the memories, and be able to look back on your time together.
