Keeping Memories Alive offers a wide variety of patterned paper. Their papers are beautiful and they coordinate well with each other. The various plaids, checks, stripes, dots and washes are very complimentary, allowing you to mix and match many patterned papers on one page, without your page looking too busy. The paper is very heavy and sturdy, making it nice for backgrounds. You will not need to back it with cardstock. The paper also works nice for photo mattes. You can combine two different patterns with the same color to create a flowing look across two pages. Notice how the two red patterned papers in "Duane and Vicki" coordinate well and make the eye flow easily from the first page to the second page.

In "New Doll", notice how well the different Keeping Memories Alive patterned papers coordinate.

Keeping Memories Alive was founded and is owned by Marielen and AJ Christensen. In 1976, Marielen Christensen began designing creative pages for her family's photo memories. She inserted her memory pages into a new product called sheet protectors and placed them inside looseleaf binders. By 1980, she had assembled over fifty volumes of family memories, and was invited that year to display her albums and demonstrate her concept at the World Conference on Records in Salt Lake City. That conference opened the door to a massive interest in memory book design, and Marielen was invited to give seminars and teach classes to countless groups, including BYU Campus Education Week and numerous church, civic and school groups. During the past 25 years, she has lectured continually throughout the Intermountain West. In addition to her many lectures, Marielen and her husband AJ authored and published the first how-to book on organizing and preserving family memories called Keeping Memories Alive. They also founded the first known memory book supply store in 1981. Keeping Memories Alive now has over 50 employees and occupies three buildings. Their business has grown dramatically through the years and includes a wholesale division, internet site, and a world wide mail order system. Marielen and AJ’s daughter Liz and her husband Matt Rosenbaum became part of the administrative team in 1999. Their presence is adding a wealth of new ideas and enthusiasm to the growing business. Keeping Memories Alive’s objective has been to provide their customers with a full line of the finest and best quality scrapbook products available on the market today. Keeping Memories Alive has fifty plus members on their staff and they hope you find their service and products to be helpful as you keep your memories alive.

Since 1999 Keeping Memories Alive products and services have been voted the favorite choice of many scrapbookers. In January 2000, Marielen received the first Outstanding Achievement Award for the greatest contribution to the scrapbook industry.

Keeping Memories Alive’s catalog has grown from a 4 page, photo copied flier with 13 items to an 80 page, full-color catalog with over 5000 scrapbook products.
