I’ve always been a bit of a rebel. When others are Spring cleaning, I’m not! But, in the Fall, I get the bug to clean and organize and simplify my life.
I’ve loved spending this month with you, as the guest editor, and I have thought a lot about my "parting words". I think if I could tell you one more thing, I’d want to express to you that not only is it ok to simplify your scrapbooking, but it is good!
I talk to so many people who are overwhelmed by the prospect of getting caught-up on their scrapbooking. If you are one of those people... if you have way too many supplies and photos and are so overloaded with stuff that you can’t even begin to start using it, it’s time to simplify.
I think the best way to simplify is to look at each and every thing that you have and decide if it’s really something that you need right now. Will it be meaningful to your scrapbooking? If not, put it away for a while. Take out the bare basics, and put everything else safely, and in an organized fashion, somewhere else. Keep out your basic papers, your scissors and adhesives and your photos.
You’ll be amazed at how liberating this process will be and how much you will get done. When you feel like you have made a large improvement in your "catching-up" situation, start slowly taking out your extras and putting them in here and there.
We’ve tried to make our entire line of products simple and easy to use. You’ll be able to match colors easily and find basic colors. You can find a lot of ideas, too, to simplify your process at www.chatterboxinc.com.
Thanks so much for spending this month with me! Be on the lookout for what we’ve got coming for you in the future!
