Since their move to Florida, my aunt and uncle have been in touch with my grandchildren through phone calls, emails, cards, letters, small gifts for their birthdays and Christmas. I believe they are quite honored to have my grandson's middle name be Vincent, after my uncle. This year, we all traveled from Ohio to visit them. I thought it was appropriate to give them a gift of pictures that were taking throughout the year 2007 of the family. Of course most of the pictures are of my grandchildren, but other pictures include the rest of the immediate family.

This was my first big attempt making a mosaic of this size and with a pattern. It’s a great way to use up those pictures that you find are too small for a layout and for combining a lot of photos for a larger event, such as Christmas or family reunions. I’m looking forward to my next mosaic of Christmas pictures using a tree as the main pattern. This did take several months working on it periodically.

I plan on doing more of these but making up my own pattern arrangement as I go along, by arranging pictures of different sizes. After seeing my aunt and uncle’s reaction to receiving this mosaic, I know my creations will quickly become a keepsake in my family.
