MAKING YOUR “PASTA BOX HOUSE” Materials: We need: Pasta box with a “window”, glue stick, decorative papers, pretty trim cuts, ribbon cuts, metallic snowflakes, millinery flowers, paper flowers, glitter, glue stick, glue gun sticks, glue gun.
This is how we make it:
Most pasta boxes can rectangular in shape. We will unglue it, make it flat. Peel off the plastic {intact} that covers the “window” and save it, we will re-use it. We will then glue our decorative paper on it and let it dry using a glue stick. Place it under heavy books. Once our box is perfectly dry and flat, we will cut around it and also cut around the “window”. We will then glue the plastic piece right where it was using our glue gun. And right after we will use a piece of ribbon cut and will glue it right on top of it. It will look like a lace curtain. We will then glue the box right back together and voila our Pasta Box House got shape! Now we will use the leftover paper cuts and make a roof. And glue it to the top of the house.
Let’s decorate it: Our Pasta Box House is now ready to decorate. We will measure and cut our trim scraps, glue them around the “window” and add another piece right above the roof. And then we will glue our metallic snowflakes {you can cut out some from an old garland if you have} above the “window” to add more interest. And to make the small wreath, you can just cut a piece of paper, and glue flowers and pearls on a circle, the glue it to the top of the “window”. And your Pasta Box House is ready!

EMBELLISHING OUR CHRISTMAS QUEEN
Materials:
We need: plastic doll {mine is leftover from party decorations}, millinery flowers, sequins, glitter {if you wish to add to the dress}, lace pieces, ribbon pieces, glue stick, glue gun.
This is how to embellish it:
Cut a little crown out of your decorative paper scraps, glue it to the doll’s head and add a sequin. We will then cut two pieces of lace and ribbon to design her dress and glue one on top of each other for more skirt movement and glue them at the back with the glue gun. A white dress would look fantastic with a flower appliqué. We will then glue two millinery flowers to it for a more glamorous look. And for our doll’s bouquet, we will gather a few millinery flowers, preferably combining buds, and flower, tied them up together with a metallic ribbon trim and glue it right on front of the dress. And our doll is done!
And our Pasta House and Christmas Queen are finished and ready to display! They will look amazing on any mantel, a table or windowsill…or to give as a gift.
