I love scrapbooking conventions! And it's a good thing I do-while most scrappers are cropping and matting, I'm usually packing and unpacking!

One of the wonderful things about working the HOTP booth at scrapbooking conventions is having the chance to crop my way across the country. This year, I'll get to see what's hot from Las Vegas (pastel vellum) to Michigan (collage patterned papers) to Arlington, Texas ("lumpy" pages). We'll set up shop, literally, in 9 different places this year.

My very favorite part? Meeting and talking with scrappers like you-women who are so dedicated to this craft that they make the time to savor all the wonderful things about scrapbooking: learning, sharing and creating. (Okay, and shopping-yes, I make time to shop at each scrapbook convention!)

"Don't you get tired of scrapbooking?" someone once asked me. "After all, you work at a scrapbook paper company, then you go to shows like this on the weekend-why would you want to spend your free time working on your album?"

The answer is that I never get tired of scrapbooking! I believe too firmly in the importance of creating a legacy. And I believe not only is the finished album important, but also the time, the energy and the creative spirit that goes into crafting a scrapbook.

Keep an eye out for me next time you're headed to a scrapbooking convention: I'll be the one with the Hot Off The Press shirt, the bulging shopping bags-and the smile!

Happy Scrapping,
Sara
