Every June, the Illinois chapter of the MSS (Multiple Sclerosis Society) hosts a 2-day fund-raising event for cyclists called the “MS-150”. For several years, I have participated in this challenging 150 mile ride through the gently rolling rural farms and small towns in Northern Illinois. I have not only worked to raise money for research to help find a cure for a devastating disease, but also enriched my own life through new friendships and a newfound love of road-biking. We endured every type of weather that an unpredictable Midwestern June can dish out on these weekends. I always had a camera on hand to capture the memories. These layouts depict some of the highlights of our rides.

Deb is an RN, wife, and mother of three girls, ages 23, 21, and 16. 10 years ago, she began to scrapbook as a way to chronicle her family trips and the girls’ lives growing up (though was really doing a much more rudimentary form of it long before that time, as a young girl). Now, she has turned the hobby into a small business, “Lifememoriesbydesign.com”, where custom projects are created for clients who don’t have the time or inclination to scrap, but want the results. She loves to learn new techniques, and works with traditional and digital designs. Scrap booking is definitely her passion. She thinks that one of her best strengths is her ability to match great papers and achieve a visual balance to enhance the photos and story she’s telling, In her free time, she enjoys fitness pursuits like running, hiking, and of course, biking. Additionally she enjoys traveling.
