Journal reads: Whenever I feel I have less, I just remember that I have you…the most important and beautiful blessings I have! Indeed, God has given me so much more…

This layout was done 2 nights before a great catastrophe hit our city on September 27, 2009 in Manila. A strong typhoon (worse than Katrina) hit and killed so many and made so many homeless. My family was spared, nobody got hurt, my home was clean while many have been flooded. Really, I have so much to be thankful about!

I'm so thrilled to be the October contest winner and be featured in one of my favorite scrapbooking sites. I'm really a scrapaholic and my shopaholic tendency is now directed to scrapbook stuff and no longer those girly things like shoes and bags.
When I create my page I usually do some layering with clusters of elements here and there, with distressing and tearing…and yet maintaining the clean look of the layout. Some say that my work is leaning towards romantic with lots of flowers, ribbons and lace (because I have 2 daughters, I guess). I love to combine papers but using non-cluttered base. I can use a single paper in several layouts and yet have a different look in each one. I don't mind mixing old and new stuff, but still, I'm baffled why my stash keeps on piling up. I would love to try new technique every time but since I juggle wife duties, mommyhood and being a financial slave, I often set it aside because time is running out and I still have to sleep.
