One of the things I am most passionate about is scrapbooking the everyday moments. Not just what and where but how I feel about the person in the photo at that time. My grandmother helped raise me and passed away as my oldest was born. I had so many questions and no one to ask. My grandmother left many photographs behind and there is no one to tell me who they were and why she kept their photos. I use my scrapbook pages as a living legacy, to remind my kids they are loved and to remember even the smallest but significant everyday moments.

These are pictures of my youngest in her car seat. She was just giggling and acting silly and of course I had my camera ready! I can't help but think how beautiful she is in this moment, just being herself; I didn't want to forget this moment.

One of the things I like to do in my scrap booking is accentuate things that are already there. I used a glaze pen to go over flourishes that were already on the paper and added a few of my own. I also cut the pattern paper so that I could weave the chipboard letters in and out of the pattern paper.

Here is one of my boys at the park. You never know when and where you will get a good shot! At this time my son’s favorite word was "probably" and I wanted to document that. He left me a cute little note on Mothers Day, I copied it and put it in the layout as hidden journaling. The note says "Dear mom, it's mothers day probably. I love you. Love..."

The red cardstock was stamped to match the feel of the rest of the layout. The branch, bird and border were cut out and placed back on the layout with foam tape and fibers to add dimension.

This is just a picture that my five year old took of me and my baby girl when we were waiting for a movie! This was the beginning of September when all the kids were going back to school. Here is what I wrote:

" Maybe it's because you are the number five of five...because I know you are my last baby...or maybe because you are number five that I don't freak out over every little thing and I can enjoy just being with you. I treasure every moment with you. I am in no hurry for you to go to school. I enjoy the time we have, just the two of us when everybody else is at school or work. I enjoy your constant chatter and singing. I adore the excitement that you exclaim for everything that crosses your path. You are a joy to be around and I love you."

I want her to know how much I loved our time together - I do this for all my kids, family members and friends. The photo was a bit grainy but I managed to salvage it by changing it to a black and white in Photoshop. The moment was more important to me - it went perfect with what I wanted to say.
