The whole idea for this project came after seeing a digital collage tutorial by Nacie Rowe Janitz. I have always been interested in collage projects, ever since the days when I used to do traditional scrapbooking, but I had never truly embraced this art because of the mess I’m able to make every time I use paints, gel mediums and glue. The idea of making a digital collage seemed like the best of two worlds for me because I would be able to achieve the look I wanted for my projects without all the mess! I also wanted my photo to look as it had been “transferred” to the background and for this reason I used the transparent tapes.

Love has always been my favorite subject when I scrapbook and I really enjoy taking photos of me and my husband together! I made this one to tell him how thankful I am for us and for having him in my life.

Thankful for You

I’m 33 years old., Brazilian, married for almost a decade to my best friend but we don’t have kids yet. I started scrapbooking in 2005 because I felt I had stories to share and preserve that the photos alone wouldn’t be able to do. A lot has happened since then and about a year ago I started digital scrapbooking and discovered a real passion in my life. I’m currently on the creative teams for CafeJ Designs, Danielle Donaldson, Dido Designs, Edeline Designs, Feifei’s Stuff, Ida Designs, and TAAFOMFT (These are a few of my favorite things) Challenge Blog.
