Two summers ago my sister-in-law had a quiet wedding ceremony in her parents backyard. It was a beautiful day and I really enjoyed taking pictures of the happy couple. Here I captured the beaming bride and groom dancing their first dance. I wanted to use lots of white space in this layout. So I tore a few pieces of the pattern paper and stamped the journaling spot above it. Adding a few buttons for embellishments it gives the layout a bit of umph without taking too much away from the photos.

I actually made this layout for a friend, for an album for her mother as a 25th anniversary gift. The picture was just so perfect for a romantic layout. I am always so inspired by love, especially love that makes it to 25 years. I really didn't plan this layout out, I luckily had my December kit from ScrapMuse which was full of elegant and romantic papers, so I just started by grabbing the few papers that I knew that I wanted to use and then I went with it.

One of my favorite conversation starters is “how did you meet your spouse/significant other?” More often than not, it’s a good story, and the romantic in me loves a happy ending. My story is a little different, but I’m proud of it. After all, it brought me to Adam, and there’s no ending happier than that. This layout celebrates our story. I wanted to keep the layout rather simple and put the emphasis on the story, so I chose a simple Kraft paper background and a few patterned papers that I used sparingly and accented with some punched edges.
