The cool breeze, the smell of the salty air, the warm sand between my toes – these are the things I dream of when I want to relax. The colors on this layout, along with the patterns and textures,
mimic just such a day. The corrugated paper resembles the coarseness of the sand, the blue glitter on the
letters remind me of the sparkling spray of the sea, and the use of pinking shears symbolizes the fencing used which aides in beach preservation. All of these elements put me in the mood to
take a leisurely ride to the seashore for a little "R&R”!

“He Sells Sea Shells By the Seashore…” My nephew, Carter, just loves the beach. The feel of the warm sand squishing between his tiny toes, the gentle breeze sweeping his hair into a tangled frenzy, the waves splashing onto his swim trunks are just a few of his favorite things. I do believe if he could live on the beach, he would. He loves it that much and we just love to watch him play at the beach. He develops the cutest tan and is definitely one sun kissed sweetie by the time we leave.

Wasting the day away floating on an inflatable turtle…this is how my nephew, Carter, likes to spend his summer. Is there anything as refreshing as the crisp, clear water in the pool? I just love scrapbooking these types of photos. The bright colors of swim suits, pool toys, and the foliage surrounding the area really get my creativity going. As I looked through my photos I knew I wanted to pull those same colors out through my patterned paper, so I turned to this adorable pinwheel themed paper. I just love the colors and the pattern really inspired me to create some pinwheel embellishments of my own, which are secured with handmade brads using the Imaginisce I-Top tool.
