Living in New Zealand, it’s hard to find scrapbooking supplies, so I belong to a couple of kit clubs. These awesome papers were delivered in February and I just had to scrap straight away. I felt they would be great for holiday or sunny garden pictures.

Water Fun

Beginner Project

by Caroline Hancock

Water Fun is from a holiday to Florida for our wedding and the fun days we had out at the water parks. I used a circular part from a cardboard box and painted it to match the papers and some doodling.

Sun Fun

Beginner Project

by Caroline Hancock

Sun Fun is us enjoying beautiful sunny days just relaxing in our garden. I wouldn’t say I used any fancy techniques. I thought the papers were bright enough on their own, although it was the first time I tried making my own embellishments. I am so pleased with these pages, as I think they really show the fun we were having on these days.

All in all, using several different types of texture and dimension really makes for an eye-catching layout! Next time you sit down to scrapbook, stop and think about the different ways you can add some texture and dimension to your layout!

My name is Caroline Hancock, or Scrappercaz to everyone in the blogging world. I have been scrapbooking since May 2009, so I am still very much a beginner compared to most scrappers I know. I stumbled across scrapbooking while searching for a gift for my husband to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. He ended up with a scrapbooking album of our wedding photos which he loved. I’m not sure what style best describes me as I am still trying out all the fabulous techniques out there; however, right now I am really loving layering and sewing.
