When I look at a piece of patterned paper my mind is already planning what I am going to 'fancy cut' out of the pattern. Karen Foster's new Water Fun collection is full of fun patterns and colors! I immediately cut out the water bubbles, the sun and the waves. I added instant dimension by using pop dots and stickles. I added in the Colorbok metal water drops for more sparkly fun! This layout is busy, bright and fun – just like a summer day at the water park!

My name is Carolyn Lontin. I am married to Rick; we have one son, Seth and two crazy dogs! We live in gorgeous Colorado, in a suburb just south of Denver. I began scrapping in October 2001, to preserve my son's childhood memories and it quickly became an obsession! I love capturing my family's "real" moments in both my photos and in my journaling on my layouts. I have found the creative outlet of scrapping to be incredibly relaxing and quite addictive, which is shocking to the previously dominate non-artistic side of me! Over the past few years, I have had the honor of having my work published in several major publications. Since 1994, I have been a Human Resource Director for a manufacturing company. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends, photography, exercising, cheering on my son's many sports teams, mini-adventures exploring in the mountains, playing with our dogs, and reading. Come stop by my blog: http://carolynlontin.blogspot.com.

I love to capture every milestone in my son’s life. This photo shows him seeing how long he can hold his breath underwater. I layered the swirls to look like water.

I am a working mom to my 5 year old preschooler son, Zid. My husband, Glen, is a photo enthusiast who lovingly supports my addiction to scrapbooking. I have been scrapbooking for more than four years now. I am our family's memory keeper and I enjoy devoting time to preserving our memories in artwork. I love texture and dimension on my pages, and I love to cluster embellishments.

On our Florida vacation last year, we went to our first water park with the kids. As a non-swimmer, we were worried about how our six-year-old son would handle a full day with only water activities. As it turned out he was quite the little fish! He thoroughly enjoyed the play area with a variety of obstacles, including a zip line. We love these photos and how big he looks in his rash guard and goggles!
