There is a story close to my heart about this page. My father-in-law passed away a couple of years ago. When his children were younger, they used to vacation in Fort Bragg, California. So this past year, all of my husband’s siblings, their families, our children and my mother-in-law, all vacationed in Fort Bragg. We went on a weekend that would have been my in-laws 51st wedding anniversary. My mother-in-law rented this huge house and we all got to stay together in this gorgeous 5,000 sq. ft. home.

The whole reason for our vacation was to say goodbye to my father-in-law. My mother-in-law arranged a beautiful ceremony. All the grandchildren blew bubbles and anyone who wanted to scattered rose petals along with his ashes. Lots of tears were shed, but lots of hearts were mended and put to rest. We were all able to have one last cry and say goodbye to a beautiful man and the patriarch of our family.

My name is Jeannie DeGruccio. I am a mom with 7 kids, ranging in age from 4 to 20. My hubby and I have survived, so far, through 22 years of marriage. I have been scrapbooking, stamping and paper crafting for at least half my life. As a young mom, I started crafting as a way to decorate my home on a very tight budget. From there I got into scrapbooking and card making, and then moved onto various other forms of art and crafting as the trends changed. I love creating, I love paper, and I’ll never tire of making things, EVER!! I am involved with a number of different design teams and also design for some manufacturers. You can see more of my work on my blog, http://polkacabana.wordpress.com/
